FUN WEEK FOR KCJAY
May 15th….
Derrick and Chris went for a long bike ride and found themselves in Arizona. It’s nice to see the guys again. After a dip in the pool .We went to Native New Yorker ( wing place ) had some grub and beverages. Hit a couple of more bars and just hanged out at the patio, and just talked. Thank God there were no girls scouts around.
May 16th …
I woke up to a huge bang, walked out and Chris was doing laundry. Man let me tell you; by this time they already went for a morning ride, jumped in the pool and ready to just cruise AZ.
First stop.
The Pointe at South Mountain. I always pass this place on my way to work and never knew that there is a Golf Resort there. Burgers and some nachos for breakfast.
Next stop.
Mill Avenue. Heidi has always told me to check this place out ever since I moved. Finally it happened. There are bars everywhere. Mill Ave. is located at the heart of ASU campus. Hooter’s for a couple of beers and some eye candy action. Then we went to a bar called Fat Tuesday’s. They have spiked slushies on the wall. Sat by the patio and just watched people go through their routines. Chris had a conversation with an ex boxer, about his fighting days, and yes… some hotties just walking the streets. Then monsoon came… Went back to the pad and cooked some food and watched the Suns game. I really didn’t know Chris was very religious. I have pics of him sleeping like an “ Angel “… AWWW… Where are the little duckies? LOL!
May 17th…
Big D is hurting… He saw my bartender caddy last night. And he made friends with my Absolute vodka.
The fellas also wanted to see where I work so I gave them a tour of the plant.
After some authentic Mexican food. Off we went to Casa Grande.
From my place it’s about a 30 minutes away. These guys are crazy; every light is like a drag race starting light. Ready Set GO! VROOOOMM!!!!! Chris’s Mom (Penny) was waiting for us. After deciding what we wanted for dinner. Mom was off to the store, we cruised the old playground of Chris and just waiting for Zach to get off school. Went to the old RRD plant, some bars along the way.
After picking Zach up , We went back home for some awesome Italian feast ….Lasagna Yummy!… Melvin was there. ( Daddy Comstock ).. Joined us for dinner and just enjoyed each others company.
Melvin decided to go for a ride… And VVRROOOOMMM!!!!!, Now I know where that came from.
That evening we heard some stories about Chris you guys won't believe.
Chris just looked at us and said.. “ This is so weird having the 3 of us in my parents backyard and just having a good time…. “
One of the things I didn’t know was they were going to Rocky Pointe for the weekend. Will do it again next time…..
May 18th …
My Mom’s birthday. She finally turned __ years old. LUV YAH!
ON THE JETPLANE I GO!
May 19th….
TN here I Go again. JC decided to pick me up instead of getting another speeding ticket. Thanks Pal! Rolling hills of TN. Conversation with JC is always exciting… So we were just exchanging some stories of how our lives are now a days. Families and new co-workers… LOL!
Home Sweet Home….. Ms. Claudia was there waiting with that smile and warm hug.
Relaxed for a little bit and action! IRON CHEF JIM! TN style.
Steaks, taters and shrooms, beans YUMMY! I was in the hammock before long.
Then JC decided to take the fishing poles out. He had a bait for Walter. He told me that it stinks , but I have to take a whiff… Whoa nelly!… that thing is foul….After a few casts , everybody was just quiet… Oh it’s on Baby! Got snagged a couple of times and JC all the way around the pond to find his spot. We thought that we ain’t going to catch anything and it was getting dark . One last cast , FISH ON! Camera! Photo Op! JJ got one.
Time for some drinks at the Corona Room. Hey bartender could we get some “ Jimmy Collin’s “ please. JC has been polishing his bartending skills and he now has a special drink….We played bumper pool ( hustler ) and darts… Really nice just to hang out with them again and laugh at each other.
May 20th…
Woke up to the smell of fresh coffee. I joined Claudia in the patio, and asked where JC was? She just pointed out the pond and sure thing JC was fishing. What a life….
Jim ( JC’s brother in law ) picked us up for our trip. Stop at Cracker Barrel for breakfast and off we go. The ride and view was so relaxing and both of them are giving me history lessons…. Went from TN, NC, SC and NC in one day… And FIREWORKS store everywhere.
Met up with Doc ( RR ) at the hotel room and on the way to the racetrack we go. At the racetrack after lunch we checked out all the festivities that’s going on. Went to our seats and before long we were at the infield. This place is huge.
After a few rain delays the race started. Our seats were awesome. Front row at turn 4. If there was a wreck there, we will be cleaning up our shorts. The power of the cars just vibrates right through you. It still amazes me how they could control the cars at high speeds.
We saw some wrecks and had a comedy moment with a fella.
“ MULLET KID”.. He was trying to start the “ WAVE “
1-2-3… No help from the crowd.

He said “ I have Mullet this is going to work.“
“It’s going to be mighty powerful! Me and Doc just bowed our heads and just laughed. These people know how to have a good time.
After the race while waiting to get out of the parking lot a young fella with his kid was the showstopper.
Imagine this… Back of the truck…and scream as hard as you can….
WOOHOO!!! Maybe next year we will camp out as well and join in the after race parties.
After a long day all us needed some siesta time. Doc and me were roomies we talked for a little bit. He is on his way to NV the following day to visit his kid. Asked how I was doing with my move to AZ. Told him it’s great to see my family all the time. It was nice to see you again Doc!
May 21st …
Drive back to TN. Again the views are spectacular. On the way we saw some waterfalls just by the road coming out of the mountains. We decided to go kayaking but the Mother Nature didn’t cooperate. It rained. So we decided to go fishing before dinner at Mary Beth’s and Jim. JC caught one this time. NICE! We’ll catch Walter next trip!

Movie time! King Kong was the feature film for the night.

Oh bartender…. “A round of Jimmy Collin’s Please.” JC faded into the night and Ms. Claudia and I finished the movie. Believe me. You can’t stop watching this movie as soon as you start it. “ IT’S BEAUTIFUL “… LOL!
